Great Lakes Appraisal Company turned their vision into reality after hearing from many customers who had problems finding space for 150 plus page three-ring binders when trying to organize 25, 50 and even 100 appraisal report binders. After realizing this was a problem for customers, Michael Cerny and Mathew Provot of Great Lakes Appraisal started developing an easy to use and graphically enhanced auto-play report CD-ROM.

The initial design and software application was finalized in less than 3 months and includes features such as making the CD-ROM capable of self starting, a brief company movie introduction, interactive menus with buttons linking to the appraisal report table of contents along with qualifications of the Appraisers in Adobe PDF format, direct e-mail links to the Appraisers and support staff, an instructions menu, online status updates for other pending reports, ability to instantly order a new appraisal report, and a link to the company’s website.

Currently, the Great Lakes Appraisal report CD-ROM is the first of its kind for appraisal businesses in Michigan and possibly the Midwest. The appraisal report CD-ROM will be available to customers starting Late July 2003.
